The Golem and the Jinni is an interesting and rich tale that I enjoyed reading. I completed its 486 pages in less than a week since I found it hard to put down. Despite the book’s fantastical title and the fact the two primary characters are mythological creatures, it is a very grounded story, full of believable characters, honest emotions and engrossing situations.. 7. Numerous secondary characters are central to the Golem and the Jinni’s story: Saleh, Maryam, Anna, Matthew, Sophia, Michael. Choose one or two of them, and show their role in the story and in the lives of Chava and Ahmad. For instance, think about Sophia’s love affair with Ahmad and Michael’s relationship to Chava.
